Four wheel Driving and OD

I have a 2004 F150, auto 4x4, 4.6 liter motor. If you put it into 4 high or 4 low with the over drive left on will it do any damage to the drive train. A guy at work says you shouldn't do that because it will ruin your drive train. I can't see how it would damage the drive train. Anyone else have in input to this TIA

Nah, it won't hurt anything. Taking OD off will give you some extra engine braking though and make stopping slowing a little easier when you are at speed.
