ABS Light

I finally got the chk engine light to go out by replacing the throttle pos. sensor. But, on long trips (over 2 hrs of straight diving), the ABS light comes on. After turning the truck momentarily, the light will go out for a couple minutes. After turning the truck off for a couple hours, the light stays off until the next trip. Could this be a faulty sensor?

You need to either get a code reader or take the vehicle to a shop. This light can be turned on by several different components. Things such as wheel speed sensors, valves within the hydraulic unit, pressure sensors etc etc. So you need to see what the fault is and then continue diagnosis from there. Most likely cause would be a defective wheel speed sensor.

If the light goes out with a turn of the wheel, then the wiring/connection/speed sensor must have problems.

yeah, like i had said, the only time it comes on is after a couple hours of straight driving. Ive been told I cant run a computer without first turning the truck off and then on agian, which will make the light go out. Ford is a pain in the *** to deal with so I thought Id ask here first. Thanks though.
