Closure to my broken plugs ordeal

I know you guys are tired of hearing about this issue, but I want to thank all you guys that helped me out. Well, after 18 days at the dealership, my baby is back home now. She seems good to go now (triple digits pass on freeway) but not without incident. They said it was all done and to come get it. I dealt with the customer service manager who ate the cost of the repair, thank god. I signed my bill, got my keys, and headed out. Popped the hood to see if they botched anything I had done to her myself ie. CAI, make sure I STILL had headers, power line for amplifiers, fog lights.... I noticed a bolt sticking up and only finger tight. I noticed my power line for my amplifier was now run under my battery(not good) Easy fix for me to do. Fired the girl up and it sounded good. Goosed the gas and all that stupid stuff we like to do to make ourselves feel like we know what we're looking for. Closed the hood and got into the truck. Looked down, and the engine light was on! I never even put it in drive. Went back in and had 4 mechanics under my hood at one time. They needed it for ANOTHER day. What they told me was when the REINSTALLED the ENGINE (yes they removed the engine and trans) they didn't notice how the wiring harness was routed, so it was actually interferring with my throttle linkage. Not allowing it to close fully, tripping the light. FACTORY TRAINED TECHNICIANS HUH? Oh well, it's good now. I hope. Thanks again guys and ask your dealer who is responsible for broken parts when you go in for service. This particular dealer is now telling people they aren't responsible for problems incurred during plug changes on 5.4L 3V engines. C'mon Ford it's time to own up to your mistake!

Hi.

Pretty good BS from the techs, since you don't even have a throttle linkage

Very glad to hear you were not out-of-pocket on the repair!

It wasn't technically my" linkage" he said. It was some valve, that opened and closed. The harness was holding the valve open, not allowing this valve to close completely that was tripping the CEL. BLAH BLAH BLAH was all I heard. They gave me a truck with my wiring harness being pinched by some valve somewhere? How many miles do you think I would have got before I got a short? FACTORY TRAINED TECHNICIANS that know your truck inside and out, isn't that what they say on the commercial? LOL. It wasn't a rush job by no means, they had it for 17 days!!!! They had my engine and Trans out, and I took it in for sparkplugs! I'm screwed.......... ...(gunshot)
