who cares who gets it done first as loong as it looks ****in sick

i wouldnt really say a head unit "compliments" everything else. Its a head unit. Its for sound/video not for looks. Although there is one out there that goes well with the interior. It has like green lights like everything else.

With aftermarket HU you have alot more adjustability over alot more features than the stock unit can do which equals better sound.

my parents bought the truck yes.....but i did not ask for it. my dad bought me it and im greatfull. i work for him in the summers doing computer work and get paid a third of what his actual employees do ($13 a hour). thats where all the money came from for my parts.

and plenty of kids do buy there own trucks/cars. some nicer then others, my friend josh bought him a identical F-150 to mine exept without 2-tone paint, cause he is a fireman. though he is lucky his dad is the cheif or he wouldnt be aloud to work there.

before you say anything, make sure you actually know something.
Well congratulations on the scholarship. You shouldn't get so offended by the truth. You simply proved my point with your post. My daddy bought me the truck, but I buy everything with the money I earned at the job that daddy gave me. Like I said no hard feelings, enjoy it while you can becuase once you start paying bills and becoming a productive member of society things change real quick. Same thing goes with your friend, he is using his father's position to get him a job most people couldn't get at his age. Once again I don't care that you got it good. One thing I learned a long time ago is perception is everything, and you portray yourself as spoiled. It may not be the truth but that is the perception you put out there. One day you will figure out that it feels better to get things because you busted your *** for them. But either way nice truck and congratulations again on your scholarships.

Your truck looks great....move to the inside, you'll appreciate the difference. I just got done spending about $4000 inside (amps, speakers, sound deadener and an Alpine IVA-W200) The head unit is awesome (DVD, Bluetooth, Nav., ipod, Sirius and of course AM/FM) It cost me $100 to run Sirius through my head unit, $30 to run the cord for ipod (got a 30GB hard drive in my '06) Can watch movies in the dash or the two Alpine monitors in the back of the headrests (that was actually for the twins) But it adds a whole new dynamic. My Jeep Scrambler doesnt have any paint left on it, a 396 with Dana 60's and 40" MT'Rs. it an absolute piece...but it gets towed by a rig with all the tech. of a Lexus inside but much cooler, but thats for off road. As far as the Screw goes I picked up my lift yesterday (4" Rancho) and my 35" BFG's next week. So it's a total package, (all I need besides I got a wife that has to get into it).....do the same to yours. If your not going to wheel it (I believe I read that before) than work on the inside, besides your young arent you automatically into technology? As far as guys wailing about your age...screw it. I'll be the first to admit that as a 35 yr old hubby/father I am blown away almost daily by the ages of some of the members. It is for this reason.....I just figured out that Thump is what 18? and Kickass is 17? Josiah and then of course you Pat. You guys are respected members who write threads that I am interested in and have done well for yourselves, kudo's. When I was 17 I drove a ten year old Bronco (1979) with a trailmaster lift and 33's, steel wheels and thought I was the S**t ! Boy was I wrong.

Haven't heard you mention anything about XM or Sirius. 2 years costs about 250 bucks or something like that. I like the door handle idea or maybe a new grill.

Don't take these guys comments to serious. I'm a Ga guy myself that graduated a little over 2 years ago and used the Hope scholarship to it's fullest extent of 127 credit hours. Along the way I picked up my fair share of academic scholarships which I was able to pocket bc hope covered everything except for books. I also worked a full time job thanks that's totally different than what most people would imagine that paid me very well. Though if it hadn't been for my dad I wouldn't have been able to have had that job and went to school full time. I've just been accepted back into the graduate program to persue my masters degree which Hope will not cover, thankfully I saved all of those scholarships I recieved during my undergrad days so they will be used to pay for my masters degree. Just don't become a total victim of impulse buying

spoiled ?i think not, i didnt ask fro a truck or anything this much. my dad came home with it one day and said it will be mine. and i have bought ever part on this truck my parents ahve just paid for the installation.

im not comparing either im jsut stating because hes getting onto me when theres plenty more guys in here with just as much and alot more money in there trucks then myself.
spoiled? yes i think so. just because you didn't stomp your feet up and down and demand that mommy and daddy buy you a truck doesn't mean your not spoiled. and stop comparing yourself to other people on the forum who actually bought their trucks themselves. it is not a valid comparison. if you want to compare someone compare those people and your daddy.

thank you trooks and 06FX4, its not what they are saying to me that is pissing me off, its the whole concept of what they are doing.

i would be totally happy without this truck, i was originally suppsoed to get the 1994 surburban which i love that thing still today. but my dad got a huge raise and signed some deals and alot of good things went from there.

and as trooks pointed out, i never bash people on here, i always try and give as much help as i possibly can, and appreciate help when i receive it.

too often do memebers on here just ask simple questions that they dont know simply cause they are newbies to the truck world and modding world and they get bashed. alls i did was ask for opinions.

this is a valid time for me to tell some of your guys to grow up some.

I think you guys are being way to over bearing on this guy, though his choice of colleges isn't that great (GT will need this weekend). At least he's saving the money for the mods himself, he must be very young and is just seeking advice from others to help him make clear decisions about what to do to his truck. You don't even know his entire situation, maybe his father struggled as a teenager growing up with out much. He became a sucessful person and is now living his teenage years through his son.

I could understand all this hostility if he was saying my daddy just gave me another $1000 allowence what should I do with it?
