I am pretty sure it is my bushings squeaking thats why I want to drop them and lube the bolt that goes though the front and rear hanger. My bushings look totaly dried out.

FWIW, I fixed my squeak. I installed an AAL about 6 months or so ago and developed a squeak where it was rubbing on the other leafs. I took a screwdriver and drove it inbetween the aal and the leafpack and took some industrial rubber corkboard I have lying around and put it in there. Needless to say no more squeak. Easy fix. The hard part was figuring out where the squeak is located.

My leafs or bushings have recently started squeaking, but only when going over ground that slightly twists the bed, you know?

Anyone have advice in addition to what's been posted in this thread?
I installed my GF drop shackles about a year ago, and this is my first squeaking...

My trucks new and never had this problem but my friend has a 99 i think. His leaf springs have like nylon pads or something in between them to keep them from rubbing. Well after time those things wear down and need to be replaced thats what he had to do and that fixed it. I'm not sure if it is the same with the new trucks, to tell you the truth I have never looked at mine.

I also have a clunk. It first started at 20,000 miles. They greased the springs and it went away for a few weeks. They change the entire leaf spring assembly. It went away for another 20,000 miles. At 40,000 it came back. They replaced the leaf springs again. Now at 63,000 miles its back. It is like clockwork.

mine dont sqeak but i have this horrific clunk from my right side rear leafs when i go over speed bumps. it sounds like the leafs are banging on the blocks, as if the u-bolts are loose or something. but nothing looks abnormal. anyone else have this or know what it could be? it started around 60k i have 70k now.

I have 24K on my truck, and am way out of warranty now, so will have to live with it.

The dealer covered mine at 40,000. I don't understand what it is that is touching or banging that is making the clunk.
