How to use and care for Leather Shifter

How to Use Leather Shifter Correctly:
Using a Leather Shifter is simple – BUT incorrect usage can lead to Leather Shifter slippage or breakage, which reduces their effectiveness! Take the time to read this section so you know you’re doing everything you can to stay safe!

Before Shifting Gears:

1.Before shifting gears use a Leather Shifter every time...
Use a new Leather Shifter for every transmission shift act. If the shifter has a foreskin, pull it back before putting on the Leather Shifter.

2. Put Leather Shifter on as soon as...
Put the Leather Shifter on before foreplay and before the shifter gets near any body opening (to help avoid exposure to any transmission fluid that can carry infection.) Always handle Leather Shifter gently. Put the Leather Shifter on as soon as the shifter is hard/erect. Be sure the rolled-up ring is on the outside. And leave space at the tip to hold semen when you “shift from Park”.

3. Squeeze tip gently so no air is trapped inside... Squeeze the tip gently so no air is trapped inside. Hold the tip while you unroll the Leather Shifter...all the way down to the console. If the Leather Shifter doesn’t unroll, it’s on wrong. Throw it away and start over with a new one.

Tips For Success:

* “Spilled Mt. Dew” (fluids released from the shifter during the early stages of driving) can cause pregnancy or pass on an STD. Put on the Leather Shifter as soon as the shifter is erect!

* Be careful opening the Leather Shifter wrapper. Don’t use your teeth, fingernails, scissors, or other sharp objects. Be careful with jewelry, zippers, belt buckles, etc... that might tear the Leather Shifter.

* Never let a latex Leather Shifter touch oils in any form–no petroleum jelly, no baby oil, no mineral oil, no vegetable oil, not even talcum/baby powder. Oil causes Leather Shifter to deteriorate.

* If you want additional lubrication, use a Leather Shifter-safe, water-based or silicone lubricant on the outside of the Leather Shifter.

* Keep Leather Shifter in their packs in a cool, dry place (not in a wallet!). Avoid exposing Leather Shifter to direct sunlight or storage for prolonged periods at temperatures above 100° F. Also, always check the dating on the packaging to make sure the Leather Shifter is still in date.

* If a Leather Shifter feels sticky or stiff or looks damaged in any way, throw it away. Use the spare that you are carrying.

* For first time users, practice with Leather Shifters before having transmissions with your partner. It may seem a bit awkward, but you’ll be better prepared when it comes time for the real thing.

After placing into Park:

4. After Parking pull out slowly right after you come... to a stop. After stopped, while the shifter is still erect, hold the Leather Shifter firmly at the base of the console to keep it from slipping off while withdrawing from your hand. Wrap the Leather Shifter in a tissue and throw it in the trash. Don’t flush them down the toilet. Afterwards, wash your hands with soap and water or a waterless hand washing product. Never re-use a Leather Shifter – use a new Leather Shifter for every new shifting act.

Mine will not budge...and feel very durable..

As to the question of the top being "folded over"...that light colored one does look like that...I thought of trying to fold over the the top of mine before stitching it up...either way, I like the look and feel of it..

I stitched it up first with the wax thread, and did not like it at all.

So, I cut it off and used the included white thread, that matches the KR thread better anyway.

Enjoy....

welfare wagon, that's pretty funny..

Kool Aid, that looks real good..

My only problem with the wax thread was getting bits of wax everywhere...it cleans up pretty easy, but looks like snot streaks on the chrome..

That looks really sharp! I always liked that KR leather and wish I went with that over the Lariat. I just wasn't kneen on the black and tan two tone and I wanted a black truck. Oh well, can't have your cake and eat it too.

Top notch work going on.

Thanks again for the pictures!

heres the pic of the black wrap...
It's doubled because it's a thinner leather.

My wife just called me and told me that my tan one is at the house! She said that the top is doubled up like whitecrystal1's. I will try to get it on tonight and take pictures. If not I will have to wait until this weekend.

You're buying it direct from the person that is making it. There's no middle man. Get a clue.

Yep... you're right. Maid is a word (as we all know) and thus, my spell-checker didn't nab it. Thanks for wordsmithing. As usual, it's much appreciated.

Lots of posts - including two of my own - have been removed. I've left the ones that started the spin as well as a few rebuttals as they are genuine opinions and, as such, deserve face time.

I try to be fair when I sweep a thread (like this one) and leave opinions. When individuals start stabbing at eachother and/or cussing at eachother, I'll typically step in and lock, sweep, or remove.

As a step within the earlier lock, one suspension has been issued based SOLELY upon language and personal attacks. I've never tolerated nasty personal attacks such as the one that I removed. I don't plan on starting to allow it now.

Now, let's get back on topic with the wraps...
