Exhaust ???

Should I re-route my exhaust strait out the back? I got it out the corners to be different but I just like the normal staight out the back look. Also, would changing my tips add a little sound? I asked for 3" stainless tips and they ended up only being 2.5". I also hate how I can't keep the stainless tips clean whereas I could just wipe off my chrome ones on my old truck. If so, what size should I change to?

not sure about cleaning cause my SS hasn't got dirty that I can see, but changing the tips on my Flowmaster supertruck exhaust from 3.5" to 4" x 14", the sound got a little deeper. Now I'm just waiting on my
magnaflow system and do the same to it.

Chrome is cool but the upkeep sucks if you neglect them they will rust if you are in snow country they will rust, chrome just is a little more complicated because of the possible cancer it will attract. Stainless steel seems to keep up with the elements but I had a run into with some tips from Bassani and had them replaced 3 times so much for stainless but the 3rd time around was the charm.

I like them coming out of the side like that. When I change my exhaust I will do it that way.

I like it coming out the sides. That's how I have mine. I would probably get bigger tips. They will help a little with the sound. The big tips act like megaphones.

I will never get plain chrome tips again. I rusted out 2 sets on my last truck. The first set was replaced w/in 6 months. The next set did the same, but I didn't bother replacing them. I have 4"x18" polished SS. Wipes clean with a wet rag.

I still can't decide if I want to re-route it b/c I like it coming out the corners to be different but I also really like the straight back look. I am definitely going to try to get bigger tips, probably 3.5" and I'll stick with ss.

I would have gotten the 4x22 tips, but I thought they would be to long to fit. Now I know they would have fit.

The side versus rear exit is a personal decision. As for the tips, getting an extra 1/2 inch or so wouldn't hurt. I've had ZERO problems with my chromed stainless steel tips (not shined in picture). I can shine them up in 10 seconds and they won't rust.

I'm (100%) partial to the rolled edge ... gives it a smoother, cleaner, and higher quality look (IMO).
