what would have been better? I wanted the sway a way but they were a min of 6 weeks out, I didnt want to wait that long. Anyone else have an opinion on the shocks getting that hot, normal? wrong shocks for hardcore offroading? Procomp dont you prerun sometimes? How hot do yours get?

King makes a kit for our trucks with a remote reservoir. But I hear its a grip of cash for it.

Those kings look nice. I wonder if you could use the 4wd coilovers on a two wheel drive since those are the only ones that come with remote reservoirs.

My donahoes were 1000, I didnt go with king because I was allready really having to convinve myself I needed 1000 shocks let alone 1350 I should have got the King but but that extra bit I couldnt get over. Also when I was looking I knew I needed UCA and that extra 350 was half the price of them. Also I didnt notice any fade in the shocks they just got really hot so they will do I guess, I was just wondering if that was normal. Also on a crazy side note does anyone know if King 2 tube bypass shocks would work in the rear, I mean fit in the stock rear place? I have the bilsteins 5100's back there and they seem to rebound to hard, after hitting a bumb they really bounce the rear up insted of asorbing it. Shoot Ive allready got a bunch in the front why not be nice to the rear?

The 5100's are nice for lifted truck applications as in lifted street trucks.. Not desert trucks..

step it up to a 7100 series for something..

would those do better then the MX6 or even a bypass shocks? What would be my best bet, MX6, bypass, 7100, or a standard king or sway a way 2.25 shock?

Really to be honest.. Just switching out your rear shock is not going to make it much better. What you need is a new leaf pack and a bedcage to achieve more travel.. I would recommend Deaver for the leaf springs..

really, your not going to get what you want without dropping a good amount of money..

I looked into deaver springs but all they have are 4 inch lift springs and that would put my rear 2inches up even if I take out my rear block. I an not going hard core I just love how the front rides and now the rear seem just to have too much rebound and not enough compression.
BTW how did you learn so much about this do you have a desert truck or used to race?

Are the MX6 reservoir shocks user serviceable?
