I have the brake light that has the leds for the cargo lights. There is less light out put but it doesnt really bother me that much. My tool box creates a huge shadow in the bed so it really doesnt matter. I dont have any pictures of it instaleed but i can get some if needed.

INSTALLED!!!

Stock vs. LED

All in all, I think that the LED third is actually a BETTER MADE product than the stock. 10 very bright LEDs grab attention and demand a look when the pedal is tapped. Also, in all honesty, it seems like the cargo light is more focused towards the bed and not as scattered (although, I do have a lid).

I, personally, prefer the red look up there versus that of the clear/white look -- especially on black as the red is more of a 'darker' color and doesn't contrast nearly as much.

On a scale of 1 to 10...

Product 'out of the box' Quality - 10
Ease of Install - 10 (two screws -- how hard is that?)
Look - 9 (not a 10 because I'd like 1 more row of LEDs in there)
Improvement Over Stock (performance) - 8 (it definitely demands attention)
Improvement Over Stock (looks) - 10+

Two huge thumbs up on this one! Thanks for convincing me to pull the trigger!

I'll test that tomorrow to ensure no leaks. My truck DESPERATELY needs to be washed.

That's good info... my Sirius cable is doing the same. I'll know after the Dolphins game if it leaks...

That 1/4" seal did the job! I hit the light with a direct stream of water on SEVERAL occasions in an effort to try to make it leak (better to do it under my conditions rather than being suprised by water in the backseat).

NO LEAKS.

My neighbor, who never notices my truck -- other than the fact that I'm outside washing it in the rain -- even made a comment about the 3rd brake light. He said, "...something looks different on the back of your truck".

Nice! I love this thing!

Hey RP,

That light looks great! I think it'll look really good on my Dark Shadow Grey Screw versus the stock one. Just curious? Where did you get yours from? I see that there are several on eBay. Is there only one type of these or are there several versions? Who makes the one you got? The prices really vary when I did an eBay search for these! If you could pass along the info, I'd appreciate it!

Brand... hmm. I'm not real sure honestly. It had something on the box but, unfortunately, I've already chucked it.

Here's the one I bought... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160047888137

Hope that helps just a tad...

Hey RP,

It looks great! I agree with the white stock one vs the red on our black trucks, the stock just doesn't look as good.

How did you get that thing on without taking off the cover?

Thanks,

Duke

Thanks RP!

I think I'll be picking one of these up. BTW? Do you have any night pics of the light? How does it look at night? How bright versus the stock light?

Sure bud. No problem.

I don't have any night shots. Sorry man. It think 04procomp may have had a few? If not, I'll try to get a few later on...

Versus stock, it's brighter but, not by a HUGE margin in my opinion. I still think that the light focus from the cargo lights is much more pronounced versus that of the stock light. It's the same bulb set but, the focus seems better.
