Rain Tracker

First allow me to introduce myself, my name is Joe and I own a 2006 Blk Lariat Screw. I have been trolling these boards since I purchesed the truck. I am now planning on doing some mods now that I am past the break in stage.

One mod I am considering is the Rain Tracker which is a automatic wiper control. I did a search and had found a post from a while back but it was for the older model F150's. My question is there any one here that has it on their 2004 or newer truck? If so how does it work with your truck and are you happy with it.

Why don't you just turn on your wipers by yourself? Drivers these days are dumb enough anyways....

Jking - Sorry I can't help you, but just wanted to let you know most 'people' (using the word very loosely) on this forum are more mature than your first to replies.
Good luck finding what you're looking for.

besides, even with this mod. im pretty sure you need to turn the wipers on first.. the sensor dictates how often/fast the wipers move..

Understood - but I wouldn't mind having this option myself and everybody has the freedom to modify their own truck to their own liking...lot's of trucks I see here look stupid to me - but it's not my business what others like and don't.

Just thought you guys were being a bit sarcastic to a new guy just looking for help in finding what he's looking for...

Ford first offered this feature in 1955.

Lazy?

OK...switch to Armstrong steering, it'll build muscle...forget power...who needs it?

Power Brakes?...OH gee...my grandpa had cable brakes on his '36 Tudor...worked great!

Auto trans?...too many problems...try manual shifting...also builds muscle.

Power windows?...crank windows build...awww...you know.

Electric wipers? I remember when they were vacuum...terrific, until you ascended a hill. And before vacuum wipers, they were manual...with a little finger lever inside the car.

Wasn't too safe, cuz driving in the good ol days required muscle to steer, brakes were terrible...radio ***** were on the steering column...had to look down to change stations....no auto trans till 1940...no power steering till 1951.

Auto Wipers..

Actually, you don't have to turn the wipers on. Just leave them in the auto mode and when windshield gets wet they come on and stay on till the windshield is clear. I have them on my Lincoln LS.
