I think those who claim flowmasters are too loud, havent heard the Delta 40 mufflers. I can guarantee they are quiter than most mufflers out there. A lot of times I wish I had something louder, but then I change my mind after remembering how loud it was with standard 40s on there.

Lightbulb

Well I have been in the same boat and after a lot of research I have chosen to go with the Magnaflow; why?
-I have heard noithing bad about them.
-I have read of people switching from Flowmaster to Magnaflow.
-I have heard people not liking their Flowmaster calling it (slowmaster)
-Better performance according to charts at
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/dynos/15609.jpg
this link is to a 2002 F150 but at least they have proof behind their product.
Hope this helps...

Magnaflow??? LMAO! I still cannot believe people are using this poor excuse for an aftermarket exhaust!

Flowmaster, all round, by a country mile!

I love my Flowmster SI/DO. I like the sound of a chambered muffler over straight thru any day. Even more so since I have to run a straight thrus on my TT '03 Cobra and it sounds like ***.

Just had a Magnaflow installed today, LOVE it!! If you want loud, go with a Flowmaster, they sound great. If you want a low rumble just a notch above stock, go with Magnaflow.
