A gallon of water is about 8.3 pounds, a gallon of gas is about 6.25 pounds. A full tank would be about 200 lbs, no more. Agreed, the truck should be about 5300 plus 200 plus 200 (5700).

a gallon of gas is 7 pounds, i race cars and if the gas tanks isnt as full as possible we will be under the minimum weght, gas is 7 pounds a gallon

water is heavier than gas, gas is like 7 lbs a gallon. and that truck doesnt weigh that much, i had a super duty F250 with 3/4 tank, me (185) amd ext cab 4x4 with the 5.4 on the scales and it was only 6270. 04 f250 btw.

Go back to the first post in this thread and read my results. I spent 3 hours of my time today getting this all sorted out.

I believe that is the GVWR, and that is what your truck is able to carry full of passengers and/or cargo. it is probably throwing off your hp estimates
