I Added That Kit, Was Very Easy To Install. Came With The Mass Air Intake Tube And The New Filter (direct Replacement). It Does Give The Truck A Throatier Sound When Accelerating (which I Liked), But The Gas Mileage Neither Went Up Or Down... Overall The Product Is A Plus In My Mind...

I'd have to agree with Xtreme, nice sound and a little better punch when getting on it but no help in the mpg area. Mine was under $100 without the filter, already had a K&N drop-in, I think it was worth it.

I guess Im the only who who saw an increase in MPG as well! I was regulary getting 11.8 mpg and now I'm getting about 12.9 mpg. Along with a nice sound, not too loud, and a pretty good increase in the power department. I'd say its definately worth the $130.

It is worth the money!! It felt like it helped the throttle responce, even better than with just the Edge, and also seemed to help in the power department also.I didn't see any change in mileage at all either, 14-15 mpg before and 14-15 mpg after. I'd say get it! Also autoanything has free shipping on the Airaid Jr. kit.

I have one and I love it, and you sure cannot beat the price for what it offers you. I done tests with my edge, and it consistantly gave me about .2 faster times to 60 mph. Never paid any attention to the MPG though.

A bit more noise at WOT, normal at cruise.

Makes the engine compartment look alot neater also.

Can't put a number of fuel mileage.

The full Airaid kit will probably net you more of everything (HP, MPG, etc.) mostly due to the fact that the OEM filter housing is removed and the air has a straighter flow into the engine. The thing is though an intake doesn't give huge numbers by itself so the difference most likely isn't something you'll even notice. The thing you'll really notice is the price. $130 for the Jr. kit, $250 for the full kit. And as stated earlier, you can get just the tube if you already have a K&N for about $90.

Guys Im debating this kit becuase I dont now If I wanna spend $250 for a full kit. It seems like you guys recommmend this kit. Although I was gonna add a AMSOIL drop in air filter also along with a muffler replacement. Would these be so good mods to help the engine breathe better?

Yes, they will help. More air in, with the Jr. kit and free flowing filter, more air out with a free flowing muffler like a Maggie, Flowmaster, or IMCO. And then your Edge and you should be alot happier with the performance of your truck. I know that I am!!

After talking to some people on here, I purchased the Jr. kit with good results. I noticed a better throttle response and sound. It was not until I went on a trip to Ohio (1525 miles) that I noted a little better fuel mileage, albeit 15 to 15.7. I only noticed the mileage on the highway and not to work and back. Personally, I don't care about the mileage, but did appreciate the pick-up in performance. I would go for it again. On a side-note, that trip was the first time the truck has been close to sea level (house is at about 6300 ft.). The difference was amazing wrt power gains. On the way through St. Louis, that truck drove like a racecar in comparison to climbing the hills to the house. Amazing what a little more oxygen can do.
