LED replacement bulb issue...
I just got some Luxeon LED bulbs to put into my stock taillights. I also purchased the 6ohm load resistors. I also have the LED turn signals in the front with the 6ohm resistors installed already. I installed the bulb in the rear and with the resistor installed the blinkers wouldnt blink, it was just a dull light. Whats the deal? Are the dual 6 ohm resistors too much? What should I use?
Oh golly I really suck at math! Here is the info page for the bulbs I purchased...http://superbrightleds.com/specs/315x-xLX3.htm And when I do not have the resistors on they hyper blink.

Guys, please enlighten this poor ol country boy, but why do you need a resistor at all? The specs indicate that the operating range for these lamps are from 10 to 14 vdc. If you go back to the manufacturers home page, it also tells you that these are supposed to be "drop in replacements" and have "built in" resistors. Am I missing something? You will probably also have to replace the original electronic flasher with a "Heavy Duty" flasher. Good Luck.
