Silblade Flexblades

Has anyone ever tried the Silblade Flexblades?

I’m looking for some new wipers and I have read good things about the silblades. I looked silblade up and found that they make a flexblade wiper also. I thought this may be a good alternative to the typical metal frame wipers since the flexblade has no joints for ice to freeze up, which prevent the wiper from clearing the windshield in the winter. I had always bought winter blades in the past for this problem, but winter blades are ugly with that rubber covering over the wiper, and these look much nicer.

So does anyone have any experience with these?

Superior wiping performance—this all PTFE coated silicone wiper is resistant to extreme cold, hot sun, ozone and UV light!
Adjustable to all kinds of adapters, in all kinds of weather making it all season!
Improved durability
The unique wiper structure and advanced aerodynamic design is safer for your windshield. Features a revolutionary quiet operation—no chattering! Body spring conforms to the windshield better for reduced streaking and smearing. Made from advanced GE silicone materials for a longer wiper life. Fits most American and import cars. Comes with manufacturer's 5-year warranty.

those look nearly identical to the Bosch "Icon" wipers I put on my truck. About 3 months of action and so far so good. A friend has them on his Xcursion and he kept telling me all winter that I needed to swap. We'll see in a couple months if they are as good as advertised. I got them for about $19 each at Advance Auto.

I think I'm going to have to try a set of these this winter.

I have a set. They are awesome. I find they need less fluid to clean well and that they are really good for cold weather.

I was in Advance Auto Parts last night and I was looking at the Bosch Icon wiper blades that were mentioned above. They do look very similar to the Flexblades, and all of the wipers at Advance were 25% off, so I picked up a set to try out.

I have Silblades (and have for years - they're absolutely fantastic blades) but, I've never tried the flex blade.

I'm a bit miffed by the SilBlade site. Putting my truck info in, all it allows me to buy is 20" blades. I have, and want, 22" SilBlade FlexBlades. Any ideas on how to get what I want from their page?

I have Valeo Ultimate wipers on my 04 & I have Bosch Icon on my new 06 & 98 F150. They are both very good, but I would have to give a slight edge to the Valeo blades.. Here's a link to the Valeos..

Looking at all of these wipers, one thing jumps out at me: THEY ALL LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE! How is this so? You'd think that they would be on the look-out for competitors products.

I got the Valeos also. I went with these because the cars at work use them and they kick ***! I have a set of silblades in my garage that came off. I never liked them. The silicon blade would GRIP the window so well that they would chatter unless the window was completely wet, and would squeaak if there was just mist on the window. I switched to tehe valeos and have had them for a WHILE now and they still work great.
