Thank you!! Dealer says they have to keep the truck for a day. Forget it,I'll do it myself in 10 minutes! Man this noise has been driving me nuts for 2 months. I also got the"normal" from my dealer.I asked them to show me in the owners manual where this noise was "normal". Then I told them how to fix it.
So glad I found this place.

^#@$@%#&@$!!!! took mine to the dealership to have SEVERAL problems addressed under warranty. they said they fixed this damn wind noise, but they actually made it WORSE! the repair ticket mentions a sunroof air leak. MY ***! its not coming from anywhere near the sunroof. this sucks. i tried the tape fix, and it didnt work. maybe i didnt use enough or something... im frustrated beyond my limits right now...

I had the whistle this summer. I had taken my bug deflector off and noticed the whistle at about the same speeds you are. When I tucked in behind other cars the whistle went away. It also changed with strong gusts of wind. Put my bug deflector back on and it went away...took it off again to test and had the whistle again...so now its on to stay.

I had a whistle at certain speeds. It was coming from the fog lights (air rushing between the fog lights and bumper - that hole the lights are in). Ford had a notice out there about this. I have a 2004 model. I took some round foam insulation (5/8" I think) and stuffed it around the fog lights so you couldn't see it. Whistle gone.

I know this is a super old post. But I just took off my aftermarket billet (the one that goes OVER the XLT grille) off because the truck was whistling like none other. I can't really tell from the pictures, but is it just a strip of black rubber tape that they took the grille assembly off and stuffed in between the hood and the grille? If so, that looks super easy and I'd love to be able to fix the issue on my '07 Screw. Thanks guys!
