It fits a small caliber gun....i've put a .380 North American Arms semiauto in there and also a .38 S&W (not at the same time), both are about 4-6" in length. The safe is only 2-2.5" high, so you could put stuff around it and on top of it if you need to. I try to keep it to a minimum when it comes to "crap" in the console, and the safe helps me do this so it's not burried. And yes, that is a 12V outlet inside the console. I installed that so I could hide the charging cables for my cell phone, etc. I don't like cables dangling from the dash. I bought the plug at Radio Shack...all it needs is to connect a wire to a constant 12V power source and a ground wire...very easy install.

I have same vehicle

Don't know how old your msg is here, it's my first time on this forum. I have same model truck as you do and cannot find a center console safe. I've searched high and low. This link is no longer available that you supplied from ebay in your post. Any ideas of where else they may sell this same safe? Would love to see some pics. thanks.

I installed it in my center console since I have the "flow through" console on my 2006 F150 Lariat. It has pre-drilled holes on the bottom so it can be permanently mounted to the console. I removed the center console (easy) and secured the safe using bolts and lock washers. If you want to see pics of it inside the center console, let me know...
It's a "firearm" safe, but can be used to secure anything. It is VERY well built and has a solid construction. You still have additional room inside the console for other things. Let me know if you have any questions! I highly recommend it!
