I have done a few of those. Not too hard. Connect one end to the battery and the other to the small terminal on the soleniod of the starter. Make sure you use heavy gauge wire. The hardest part will be making it look nice inside.

Yeah.. thats cool and all. But you should wire it so that you dont have to have the key in the ignition. This way, you can get in, push the button and drive the car/truck. I wonder if there's a way to do that...

Talking

how about using the wires that an alarm would use. even go on the side of the alarm so it will also be able to work. but doing this will bypass whatever system the truck turns off during start. could be done. this way the key switch will have to be on and the alarm will still stop it from working.

According to my grandfather there once was a time when people weren't afraid to work for what they want. You know get into the vehicle, insert the key, and actually turn it to start said vehicle. I'm not sure how much of what he says I should really believe, according to him he used to walk 5 miles to school barefoot through the snow.....

i am trying to bring those days back by adding an extra step, put the key in, turn and pushing the button

the wiring says to tap the positive parking light, connect the ground, connect the ignition wire and connect the starter wire i know everything else is right but the ignition wire i am not sure where to cut it or hook it up i tried almost every combo i could but it wouldn't work...

Ok now I see you do understand how they work.

Typically you need to have a transmitter within a certain range in order to be able to turn a car on and off with a push start system, like on a BMW or newer cadillac or corvette..
