Keyless Entry Code

I'm looking for a reply specifically for my 2004 F150 REGULAR CAB FX4.

I'm looking for the computer module that has the keyless entry code. The manual simply says that the 5 digit code is on a label on the module. I've seen a few threads for the "scabs" and "screws" that indicate the module is behind the rear seat. In that I've got a regular cab, I'm at a loss as to where the computer module is located. I've looked all under the dash, but have yet to find the elusive module. Anyone happen to know where the module is located on the regular cab?

The module with code is located on drivers side rear trim panel at the bottom. Will be a small black box that is maybe 5 inch by 5 inch with a label on the front that says vsm module, there will be a part number and then a 5 digit number below part number which is keyless entry code. Hope this helps

If it is anything like most with the '00 to '03, they pull the 1 horu shop labor, to look at the CSM / RAP.

The BSM/VSM shows ( as ronco posted ) just below the rear speaker in the C-Pillar on the drivers side.

The Std cab is a whole lot easier to get to then the SCab / SCrew.

Thumbs up Found It

Thanks all for the help ... "Ronco", you were right on the money. The module was indeed where you said it would be, behind the driver's seat in the b-pillar. I now have the code and works exactly as advertised.

The easiest thing to do is take it to the dealership and they can hook it to the computer and it will pull the code. Otherwise you have to remove the rear seat back and the VSM is on the driver's side rear cab wall.

The BSM/VSM is behind the rear seat. I don't know what code is in the door sill, aside from the trans and rear end data on the VIN sticker.

Here is a thread on the removal of the rear seat. It is actually easy to do, so you don't have to pay a dealer to do it.

BTW : You should have gotten a card in the owners manual with the code on it
