Question about bed cover for 04-07

If I get a bed cover for my 04, does the bed cover go over the factory bed caps? Or are those removed before installation. I pryed one up and looked under it and I dont think I would want that to be showing. If they do stay on does the bed cover actually cover the caps? I want a hard-top low profile cover ... something like *******'s X2000. Anyone with this cover? Any other brands that provide a sleek look that are maybe a little cheaper?

I have a snuglid and it goes over the bedcaps, they don't show. I think the ******** is very similar in design to the snuglid.

******* x-2000

snuglid xl

I can't remember. I paid for it the day I bought the truck.

I have had A.R.E. on every ford truck that I have owned. I like how it covers the sides of the bed and is raised in the center to match how the hood lines flow.

Here is the A.R.E. LSII on my old 2004 lariat...

There has to be a truck accessory store near or in Beaumont. After all, you're in Texas!

All that I have seen do not require the removal of the bed caps.
