04 king ranch 4x4 gear ratio- how to find ??

im going to look at an 04 King Ranch 4x4 today and i was wondering if they all came with 3.73s or how rare the option was and how easy it is to find out on the truck besides wasting 24 bucks on a carfax, Thanks!

well you can slide under the truck and read the tag on the differential- or if i'm not mistaken i think its printed on the drivers door sticker- open the door and check out the data on the 3x4" sticker

Carfax does not tell you the gear ratio of the truck. I think what you need is an OASIS report. Unfortunately, since I quit the Ford dealer on Sept 16, I can no longer provide those reports. Anyway, if you need a Carfax ran, I do have an account and can run one for you, no charge. Let me know if there's something I can do to help, otherwise here's a bump to the top for you.

I didn't think they made the king ranch in '04...just a heads up.

My mind might be playing tricks on me though

I dont think there was a 2004 F150 King Ranch. Thought it came out in 2006.

Yall are right of course. Its a Larait with the Texas Ranch package on it, never seen another like it, but it has some chrome pieces, a bullbar and all King ranch quality leather on the interior. Has 9,000 miles on it and its got the 5.4l engine, 3.73 lmt slip and 4x4 Ill post pics later, im pretty happy right now!!

So it's not a real King Ranch, or it is? I'm confused.

Its not a real king ranch. it was modified by something called texas ranch manufactures, its on the door jam sticker. It has King ranch leather, but it is a lariat that has "Texas Ranch" badges on it, never seen another f-150 like it. Its an 04 also and I don't believe a real KR was made in 04.

Someone tried to cash in on the success of the former King Ranch edition because they didn't offer it for 2004... in short, it's an aftermarket add-on kit.
