hey for those of you asking about backup lights, a buddy and i set up an even cleaner system than that that alows me to see despite 5% tint. i have been meaning to post information about it for some time. i will try and get ahold of a camera sometime this weekend. to warn you though, it is not plug and play. very worth the work however.

My "protector" from folks hitting my bumper, exhaust pipe tips, etc. Oh, and I've backed into a fence/wall/car or three as well ... just wasn't paying attention to my RSS. All details about it are located in my gallery.

How far past the bumper does that stick out?

How much was it and from where?

Grubrunner, the small gallery image on this forum actually has the URL address for my off-site gallery. That, and my signature link is hyperlinked to the off-site gallery as well. All details regarding the Hitch Step are described there accordingly. There are several versions: black, chrome, wide, not wide, with reverse sensing, etc. Good luck!

< EDIT >
Remembered where I saw the hitch step with the brake light -- http://www.f150store.com/Shop/ViewPr...eIndexID=52817
< / EDIT >

As for how far it sticks out from the back, it's 4.5" from the edge of the bumper and 5.0" from the receiver hitch.

Just so you guys know, there is an accessory supplier in Rancho Cucamonga, SoCal that will make a custom hitch cover that will say just about anything you want. They come in two sizes either black with polished letters or polished with black letters. They have several in stock with sayings like, " Remove to tow chevy, dodge, toy, nissan or whatever. Cost is about $45. 909-944-0252
