Buying tires, 2.5 leveling kit, superchip tuner tomorrow. Opinions?
What to do with $1,500...
Yo peeps. So after a LOT of reading here and looking around my area, I found a good place to get my stuff done at what I think is a reasonable price.
Here's the just bought truck: a 2004 F-150 4.6L STX 4x4.
(Crappy phone pic)

I'm working with $1,500 to get it looking and riding good. I really wanted to get the BFG All Terrain 285/70R17 tires but there is deal out from Pro-Comp right now for a set of the same 4 for the price of 3, saving me a cool $225 bux. I went for those along with a Skyjacker 2.5" leveling kit and a Superchip tuner (which I know nothing about except "IT R GUD"). Total cost after labor and tax is $1,300...
This a good deal? Should I get an air intake as well? Or anything else?
Also I posted a long detailed thread here which isn't getting many replies, though the few I did get WERE helpful:

It has a few questions regarding this section topic.... maybe I should have posted it here but too late now.
Can you guys check it out for me and offer some input?
Thanks in advance!

My first piece of advice would be to wait a bit and make sure you know what you want and find a good deal on whatever that may be. It seems every time I get into a hurry I regret getting it. I would reccomend the Edge over the superchips tuner anyday, and I know that you can get them used on here for about $250 or less. You can get an Airaid Jr. Intake for about $125 or so. Get a magnaflow muffler welded in for about $100-125. Then I would get the leveling kit and have that installed and aligned by those guys cause the price seems reasonable. As far as the wheels and tires go, just wait til you see the combo that you cannot live without. But if you really want my opinion I would go with a 17" classic type wheel with a really aggressive a/t tire or a mildly aggressive m/t (33's)

I agreee dump the superchip and get the Edge. Think twice about the 2.5. You'll want a lower level kit especially if you got off road.
I also agree about taking your time. The ONLY way to save money on mods is to buy it right the first time.

Well, after a lot of reading I think I'm buying that Airforce One Intake. If anyone knows of a cheaper place to buy it then hook a brutha up.
Thanks!

Thanks!

I'd also go with a 2" Autospring spacer/leveling kit.

Hmm....
Do you think that by using the Skyjacker 2.5" leveling kit, with the way they go on both the top and bottom of the spring, that might help eliminate such a problem?
