Front suspension noise months later after Leveling...

Hi

What's the deal here anyway!!! am I supose to have and pay for this suspension trouble because I want spacers and cooler rims and tires?
What did I did wrong?

I don't know nothing about suspensions and stuff.., I don't even know exactly what the "Suspension" is.
So, I liked very much how my truck looks all leveled..
but now, after like 5-6 months, with every shake I get metalic "cluncks" and "clancks"...

I went to a Brake and suspension workshop and they told me that for the time truck has since I purchase it(10months) it shouldn't give those noises... but then I told him that those tires and rims are bigger and it has some spacers... then he told me that that was the reason.
They have to replace joints(???) and stuff.. (like 175.00us).. he also told me that I could take it to the Dealershipp and see what they say.
I supose my dealer is going to tell me the warranty is void, etc. but I'll check

Any ideas?

Thank you

Giorgio

check the three bolts on the top of each strut assembly (right above the leveling kit) with a torque wrench- they could be coming loose- so crank them all down, then see if the noise persists... J

Check your upper Ball joints. That's exactly what happened to mine

Good luck but I would be surprised if you get a dealership to fix a problem that was probably caused by an aftermarket part that changed the suspension geometry.

Why don't you go back to the people who did the work? But check all of the bolts first before you start flipping out. .

Check the top three, as already stated, tie-rod ends, bottom strut bolts. I think you'll be good to go after that.

This is the most common problems with spacers. The noise is from the strut being loosened from the tower. Real easy to find...just look into the wheelwell and locate the position where the end of the coil bolts to the housing (3 bolts on top).

When I did my spacer I didn't tighten the swaybar endlink where it connects to the lower A-arm tight enough and it made a clunk-ish sound when braking and cornering. I re-torqued it and that fixed the clunking problem. May help, may not.

Thanks for your help...
I will go back with the work shop who installed the kit so they can check it out

Salutes
