I like keeping it up top. I'm getting the truck tinted this week. I keep the unit on the top side of the windshield, behind the tint and no one even knows it is there.

Tint doesn't affect RADAR, only LIDAR which doesn't matter to me.

Laser detectors just say "Hope you weren't speeding, because if so, it's too late anyway, you just got clocked". Been busted on LIDAR in the past and there just isn't anything you can do about it. Fortunately, I have a good traffic lawyer that can beat the ticket for a fair price.
thanks .. mine is currently under the mirror .. going to move it up like yours, just trying to decideon which side .. I use my visor very little .. so I may go on my side, since the lady that car pools with me uses the passenger visor all the time .. I'll just leave myself enough slack to move it if I want to ..
