Lightbulb Saleen HID update...

Hey guys- just got off the phone with a guy from Saleen. the HID system for the f-150 should be getting a public release in 2-4 weeks. they know it will work for the SuperCab F-150 but they are completing their tests on the SuperCrew, and the Reg. Cab trucks. when the results of those trucks comes back they should be ready for purchase. price wise, he couldn't give me an exact number, but it would be in close proximity to the mustang hid kit- so look in the ball park of 900-$1000

I think since I am in my truck for the long haul, I will probably get one of these kits eventually. I sure as hell wont be getting a new truck anytime soon, so I may as well make it as nice as possible, right?

What's the diff. between Reg, Super, and Crew to Saleen? The front ends are all the same. Any ideas anyone?

The only thing that I can figure is that the electrical systems are different... different items to power and such... although, when you get right down to it, that's really not an issue -- or at least I wouldn't think that it is. *shrugs*

I thought the same thing. Oh well, another bit to add to my list. The savings can only go to one thing at at time! X-Cal2 is next month!

But the Saleen kit is fully DOT compliant. The cops can't do chit about it.

yea, i asked the guy the same q (whats the difference in the front ends) theres not much really, they are just in the final stages- the lights are already being produced, but they want to make sure they don't mis-market the item...ie release it for all F150's and a week later have all phones off the hook with issues... he told me to call back in two weeks, and at that point he should be able to pull it up on his computer to place the order... now, if i can just find a grand sitting around. Great update.. I will be looking to buying these headlights during the next few months..

As far as finding the $1000 thats not the problem I just had a house I was buying fall through so I have my depost money coming back to me in the next day or so.. But I crashed my bike at the track the other day and I need to fix that before I can buy the lights?
