Anyone NOT use synthetic or synthetic blend oil

Just curious, The Castrol 5W20 regular oil says it meets Ford requirements for oil.

The Catrol is what I used when I first got the truck. I used it for two changes when I noticed some ticking in the engine. I took it to the dealer to check out, and he said it was ok. He said to try the Motorcraft oil and the ticking went away.

So now I stick with the Motorcraft oil & filter.

I'm still a Motorcraft 5w-20 guy to the core. I've been kicking around the idea of going to synthetic but haven't jumped on the bandwagon --- yet.

I still have about 40 quarts of Motorcraft 5w20 to burn through first...

As much as you drive it won't last long.

I am still using the motorcraft 5w-20 as well as the stock motorcraft filter. I see no reason to switch.

I use Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend because it came in my 06 F150 and it doesn't cost much.Otherwise if it wasn't reasonably priced I would use dino oil.My theory is a synthetic blend doesn't contain nearly as much synthetic oil as it does dino oil or it wouldn't be so inexpensive.
I used full synthetic for several years in other vehicles and didn't see any benefits.I put 158k miles on my 97 F150 w/dino oil and it ran almost like new when I traded it 6 months ago.I once had a Hyundai that my brother in law gave me that had 285k miles with dino oil, still ran good when I sold it.
The only benefit I can see with full synthetic would be for people who don't like changing their oil very often.I like changing my oil every 3k miles. It gives me a chance to get my vehicle on the lift and check out other stuff for issues.
