Full Throttle

2006 F-150 FX4/ 5.4 L engine. Was stopped in the driveway talking to my son--truck in drive; foot on the brake. After a minute of talking, engine goes to full throttle on it's own--foot now mashing brake (yes in the center of brake pad, nowhere near accelerator)with rear tires squealing. Shift to Park and immediately turn off ignition which thankfully shuts down engine.
Start it back up and runs fine. Ford dealer had it for the last three days and can't find anything wrong--ended up reprogramming the ECM just in case.
Anybody else had an experience like this??
Thanks

My brother one time was dating a girl and driving her 99 honda accord and the same thing happened to him, except he wasnt so lucky. It excellerated and pulled forward into a car and then instead of slamming it in park he puts it in reverse slamming into toby keiths' road manager's tahoe almost knocking it off of the third story parking garage they were in. Needless to say the car was totalled.

Now that I think of it, this can happen if you accidentally hit "resume" on the cruise control. Nvm, the brake would clear it.

that sucks.
I read a post in the engine forum a few months. A lady had an 06 that did the same thing. Might want to search in there and see if you can find it.

Sometimes I think this happens to me when I'm turning a corner or pulling into my driveway, but I have big feet, so I dunno.

So it may not be my big feet? Cause I'm pretty positive that my foot is on the brake when it happens.
I didn't want to say anything when I go to the dealer for fear of being laughed at and told to make sure my foot isn't on the gas, but if this could potentially be a problem I'll mention it next time I'm there.

Hey man sorry so late i didnt notice you posted to me, first off thanks for the compliment. I would deffinetly recommend this set up to anyone. i got the set up for 2100 thank god for price matching, (not including taxes) i got them through discount tire... ride is awsome these tires grip like you wouldnt believe and do great in wet weather, havent had them offroad yet so i cant comment but i cant believe that they would be anything but awsome offroad. The only thing i dont like is the thing i knew i was getting into, they sound like an airplane taking off. But i drive with the radio up so that doesnt bother me a bit... the compliments i have gotten with these bad boys in the last month are countless. overall i give them a 10
