Anyone want to buy the APC's cheap? New in the box??
Just like the sets I have tested, the bottom portio is the only part that lights up when driving and the top portion (LED array) only lights up when braking.
They do this because they do not want to invest time and money into a PWM circuit.
This means you either wire them up as is and get 4 little bars of light at the very bottom of the tail lamp while driving (dangerous condition) or you make a PWM circuit and hack the wiring to get it all to work the way it should from the start.
Ihave a PWM circuit reay to install now but just havent had the time to install everything. A little hacking is needed too in order to install the tail lamp flush.

Did you build your PWM or contract it out?
Let us know how it goes and it'd be awesome if you could snag some pics when you have time!
Thanks,
Duke
The tails pictured dont appear to be the exact ones I have purchased (but yet to install). The overall design seems to be the same (the celis and led arrays) but the reverse trim looks slightly different. Could only be a cosmetic difference but not too sure. Depending on its design, you might still have to trim the brackets, but theres no way to tell unless you get them.
As for the PWM, a person I know built it for me and has a variable pot to adjust the level of the parking levels during the parking cycle. It allows adjustment to brighten or decrease the levels when in the parking lamp cycle and for braking and turn signal, the LED activate al full output. Its a circuit that was made one time for me and I can not contract the work out since they arent willing to mass produce them.

We should all wait to reserve judgement until Matrix has them in stock and then try to contact them and see how they work. They should be able to describe (God willing) whether or not the top half lights up for driving lights and turning lights or rather just brake lights.
We could get lucky and they will already have the PWM built in and we won't need to do it ourselves. Worse case scenario, depending on their price, I'll research how to build one and will consider making a limited quantity. (I've already got a pretty good idea as I was going to make them for the FX35 to F150 retrofit I was going to do)
For now, lets wait and see when Matrix gets them in stock. Does anyone live near this place? Or is willing to remember to follow up with Matrix to see when they're in stock? I have too much on my plate right now to follow up with this company.
