Plastic peeling from Headlight

After installing my H13 Silverstars and inspecting my lights I noticed that I have some type of plastic coating peeling off my headlight. After inspecitng the other side it was doing the same thing. Has anyone else noticed this? I have never put any type of cleaner on them other that NXT carwash. My truck is kept in my garage at home and under a roof overhang at work , so the sun can't be the culprit. I tried taking some pics, but they did not turn out.

edit: heres a pic look just below the arrows

is the plastic coating thin- like it was a protective layer from the factory that was overlooked- or is it thicker like a 3m protective clear-guard product? i personally wouldn't worry about it too much- just take it off, and monitor the situation

it looks almost like clear tape, not as thick as the 3M coating

weird- thats odd- maybe try some goo-gone or similar product to try and remove whatever it is?? (since its on both lights, it doesn't SEEM like a manufacturing defect, but hey who knows)

I don't think it is the silverstars causing it because I noticed it right after installing them. (The lights had burned for less than 15 seconds)
Also the peeling is more jagged than melting

I'd contact the dealer about that. It looks like delamination, if that's possible.

Actually, this happened to my drivers side light, and I have a stock setup. Take it to the dealer, mine replaced it without question. My guess is manufacturing defect.

That's good to know. At least the aftermarket bulbs had nothing to do with it.
