Yes...but instead of the rather large rectangular foglights most of you have, my 2007 FX2 came with (approx) 4" round driving/fog lights mounted in the lower bumper. Some documentation calls them driving lights while others call them fog lights. My manual says they use a 9140 bulb and it came from the factory with a Phillips 9140.

The 2006 trucks have the round driving lights as well.

I'm not sure if there is an actual difference in the 9140 & 9145 bulbs. I also noticed that the Sylvania site calls out 3157 tail light bulbs for the 2004/05, but for the 2006+ they call out 4057. I've looked at a 3157 and a 4057 side by side and I can see no difference.

Maybe there was some DOT or FMVSS requirement change because I think the 3157/4057 and 9145/9140 bulbs are the same. I hope they are because I'd like to put the Silverstar 9145's in my 2007.

For what its worth....Advanced Auto has Silverstars on sale for 20% off right now. I picked up all 4 bulbs (heads and fogs) for about $70.

Visually the 3157 vs 4057's are the same. The difference is a very small change in wattage, which is 1 or 2 watts higher in the 4057 lamp. I used to provide engineering support for S8 Wedge lamps, making 400,000 per day. Regarding the 9140 vs 9145, this is also a wattage increase, I think from 40 to 45 or something close to that.

Thanks svt2205,

So the new tail lamp bulbs have a slightly higher wattage so they're brighter, but the new fog lamp bulbs are the 9140 vs. the old 9145, so they made them dimmer? Do you know if the keyed area of the bulb is the same so you could use a 9145 in a 9140 bulb socket? Just wondering because I can't find any 9140 Silverstars.

I can't take advantage of this deal as Amazom.com won't ship to Canada, but they have a PAIR of these Silverstar 9005ST bulbs on right now on sale for $11.68 and even better with a $5 rebate bringing the cost for a pair to only $6.68

Hope this helps someone out ....

Anyone have trouble with using the 9005ST in the fog lights? ... I saw a post on another site where a guy with an 07 melted the fog light lens, but that year is a different set up than the 2004-2005 fog lights?

I'm wanting to try this but looking for any problems before buying them.

Thanks,

Just some info, Piaa has the H13 out for our trucks. Bought a set off of ebay and they are nice. I like them.
