Chirpping noise when I turn my fan on

Whenever I turn my fan to any position besides off, I hear a rather loud chirpping noise coming from the passenger side dash area (noise is behind the dash area). It has become increasingly louder over the last few weeks. It doesn't matter whether the a\c is on or off, it is definitely just the fan. I am out of warranty so does anyone have any ideas?

Chirping noise coming from blower motor

Does anyone know whether the bearings or other parts inside the blower motor can be replaced or do you have to replace the entire blower motor? If so, does anyone know how much a new blower motor is?

Blower motors are not intended or designed to be repaired, so don't waste your time trying. Put a new one in and be done w/ it. Typically the dealer wants an arm and a leg for a blower motor, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Most just get one from an auto parts store. Price for one in my neck of the woods is about $85.

Could it possibly be a leaf or pinestraw ?
Here in the Hot & sunny south pinestraw gets into nooks & crannies in vehicles.

Same chirping noise in my 04 FX4

Has anyone gotten a resolution or more info for this? I have been hearing the noise with my A/C and heater. This morning it was so annoying I had to drownd it out with tunes. I am still under warrenty, but it's a pain in the butt to go in. Thanks

Yeah, mine does the same thing. I turned up the speed as high as it would go and it quit for a few minutes and then started up again after turning it back down to a slower speed. Mine is not that loud, but it is annoying after a while. Sounds like crickets chirping real low....

My mysteriously went away

Mine got real loud a few weeks ago and I thought for sure the blower motor was getting read to go out so I went straight to the dealership and bought one for $75. By the time I got home, it was gone. Hasn't been back since so it maybe that sysman_rick was right and something like pine straw was in it and it finally kicked out. For what it is worth for those of you who are having problems, it appears to be really simple to replace.

Does it sound like a revolving door or butterfly opening and closing. I have a problem where it creaks like a door for about a full second while opening the butterfly vent inside the dash somewhere.
