That would be me,I also painted the top a silver/grey to match the FX4 interior. The black on the sides is worn where the seat belt buckle rubs against it and now you can see the light grey plastic that it is molded in underneath it. If you are planning on painting your console don't use Krylon fusion paint (it doesn't soak into the plastic like they claim it does) try to find an interior dye that will work on plastic.

 

I painted mine also and it came out great, I did the sides in fusion black ( no problems but I dont believe it fuses to the plastic either) and the top in a interior charcole gray and clear coated it and it came out next to perfect. Very easy to clean. The center jump seat was completely useless to me.

 

did you paint the lid or is that off the flow through console?

 

No, The lid is from a flow thru, I bought it from another member on here. I still have the extra pieces from the flow thru sitting in my garage.

 

I dont have it. I also have the bench...but its good for certain things while your driving!
