Fitment issues with new wheels?

Hey guys, i'm not new to the site but I am new to posting and I'm ready to put a little lift and some new wheels and tires on my truck. I'm thinking about going with 17" procomp wheels or mickey thompson classic II's with 33x12.50x17 Mickey Thompson baja claw radials on my 04 FX4 with a 2.5" A.S. My questions is what do you all think about this combo and also will I have fitment problems with the 17's since my truck came with 18's stock? The reason I chose 17's is the price is much more reasonable on wheels and tires both. What do you all think?

You should be able to clear the 33's no prob with the 2.5". And the 17's should fit fine but thats the smallest you can go on the 04+

I agree. It's the late production 2005's and newer trucks that are having fitment problems with SOME aftermarket 17 inch wheels.

Thanks for the help guys. Also, what kind of milage would you think I could get out of the MT claw radials? I do a lot of on-road driving with the occasional off roading when I'm messing around.

I think you can also have the problem if you have had brake TSB done on your vehicle. The one that replaces the rotors and calipers.
