I know this has to been asked before ... but I look in the search and could not find it ... I have a 2005 fx4 with the flowthur center console ... and when you lift the armrest/lid up... underneath the armrest/lid there is some kind of a holder molded into the plastic ... I was wondering what it is for so I can start utilizing it ?

Its a travel tissue box holder. Usually you can find this type of tissue at the check out lane in Walmart for about .99

I think the spot you are pointing to in your pic that you don't know is a business card holder....

 

It holds a pack of orbit gum perfectly or business cards.

 

What a dummy I am, my CD cases fell out of there for weeks before I gave up and just laid them in the bottom!

 

I use that spot for business cards also. BTW did anybody else notice that the change fits better out of order; nickels then pennies.

 

Hmmm.. I was wondering what that square spot on the side was for to, going to have to get some buisness cards now to make use of it.

I could never figure out why the pennies were after the nickles. I put them in the order of nickels, pennies, dimes then quarters.

I must say, I did the same, they fell out 3 times... then I just left them in the bottom...

 

sorry to change the subject..but i notice in your pic you have black seats? did you add that xlt center console with the light gray armrest or did it come stock? i have black interior and was thinking about adding an xlt center console but couldnt find the one with a black arm rest. i was it only comes in gray, like you have pictured or tan.
