Its pretty loud, nothing like a true dual set-up on a older Chevy though.

I take it you exchanged the lariat beige grill for the black XLT grill? If that's the case, how did you get it out? I can't see any way to get the grill insert out without breaking something.

Tell me about it thump. I plan to dump my exhuast w/same tips as I don't hear my exhaust like others do. Buddies all say it's louder than I think, have a buddy take it for a spin (if you trust'em) and run it by you @ a wot 1-2downshift.

 

Yes, I've got the XLT inner grille on there now with the chrome trim. I'll try to get a picture of it before I drop it off.

Im pretty sure you know how to remove the grill from the hood, correct? Just un-do all of the bolts on the top edge of the grill, theres about 8 of them and than the 2 on each side. Once you've got the grill off. I'd lay some towels down or just take the grill inside so you don't scratch it up. I ended up using about 5 flat blade screw drivers to pry the clips off of the grill. It helps with two people. I had my dad put pressure on one side to help seperate the grill as I pryed, this way it was less likely to break a clip. Just be patient and you'll get them all out without breaking any or a few.

Its sad when my friends Tundra with the same exhaust set-up is way louder. :o

So when will you get it back? This is pretty darn close to what I'd like to do eventually, except I'm thinking about staying with my 22s. Do you think a 9.5 inch rim is too narrow?

9.5" is fine if you stick with a 12.5 - 13.5" tire IMO.

I'll probally upgrade to 38x15.50s on my 20x10 wheels, soon as I get gears and these wear out.

Cool. I just wanted to avoid having the tires stick out a foot out the sides. My 22s have enough backspacing to be the same as stock or just a wee bit more.

I was thinking of the 22s with a 37 inch tire. That'd give it a different look but hopefully still have enough sidewall on the tire to not look stupid or street with a body sent in the wrong direction (up instead of down).

So I'd have to do gears too or be forced to be incredibly slow?

I really don't think you'll be 'incredibly' slow. I didn't think it was too bad with 35s at all. So we'll see, I'll be able to tell you here soon!

 

Yeah I don't imagine it can be a huge difference. I mean you're not going to want to be hauling **** around turns or roads anyhow with a high center of gravity and without a huge upgrade in rotor diameter and calipers.

EDIT: Did they say when they'll be done? That way I don't keep refreshing this thread all day tomorrow.
