i have been using the EBC green stuuf extreme suv pads with a little dust. no it does not have no dust but it has a whole lot less dust than stock for sure. i am also using the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors. i am very happy with them both and i am going to buy them for the rear as well. just my experience. i got them from autpartswarehouse.com.

Every 5 days? I have to wipe down my chrome wheels, at least once a day! Cant wait until I get my SSBC kit in.

What about noise??????

Okay low dust and great stopping power but I dont wanna sound like a train or city bus. What pads incorporate minimal noise into the equation.

do these ProAct pads make a noticable difference in stopping power. I had my factory pads replaced at around 14000 on my 04 supercab. now at 27k it seems like i need to have it done again so i might as well put better pads on.

Not sure how much all these other "no dust" brake pads are costing people, but I just went to Advanced and got whatever ceramic pads they had for my 06 Lariat. Cost for front and back was about $70. No dust, no noise and no discernable difference in stopping power from the OEM pads. Trust me, I would NOT cut corners to save a buck. If these other pads being mentioned do something more than what I just stated and don't cost much more, great, get'em! But if they provide no more real world benefit than the pads from Advanced, then what’s the point? Bragging rights in a barstool debate? In the end the choice is yours. I’m just offering up my opinion on my experience coupled with 20+ years of automotive mechanics (I’m an EE by trade though). I offer up exhibit “A” in the link below the pics.

When people change them out are they changing the front and rear or just front. Is their an issue just changing the fronts?

Are you talking about the Porterfield carbon kevlar?
I have them and they are great. Much better stopping over stock pads and almost no dust. (not dust free). I havent washed my truck in a month and my wheels are still pretty clean..
Stay away from ceramics if you tow often , they create alot more heat and will warp rotors...If you dont tow then get the ceramics....
