I've decided to buy FX4 Factory Rims Should I expect scratches?

I have been watching Ebay. Seems all the wheels are advertised as being scratched? Should I just expect they all will? BTW my tire choice is the BFG AT( I always end up buying these 285/65/18. With a leveling kit. I don't want a skyjacker truck to get mulch in or pickup furniture. I just want a nice truck I will admire the show trucks. Had a truck when I was younger with a 6" lift and 35" tires. I said I would never do it again. But stuff happens who knows.

They are all going to be take offs from somebody that bought new wheels. People are just trying to be honest that these are not brand new wheels. If they have close up pictures you should be able to see how bad the scratches are.

You shouldn't expect scratches unless somebody has been less than honest about them. Be sure to ask lots of questions before you buy. Don't forget to check the classifieds on here, people are always selling them there.

I took mine off the day I drove it off the dealer lot (and they have been stacked up in my garage every since). I would have to say no scratches.

A couple of minor scratches I wouldn't worry about...deep gouges from hitting a curb or something...that's a different story

I bought my FX4 wheels from a takeoff dealer in Texas and they were PERFECT! They had less than 10 miles on them and the letters were still blue. Stragum, another member on here, also bought a set from the same guy and they were just as perfect as mine were. Email or PM me and I can get you in touch with the guy. He also paid for the shipping, and I got a great deal.

I also have a set available with less than 200 miles on them and they are the upgraded Light Truck tires instead of the standard Passenger tires. Check out my classified ad. By the way, the center caps not included.

I bought a set of Lariat take-offs from my local dealer. I got the brand new BFG T/A tires and the wheels for $400 out the door. Didn't have a scratch on them. At the time that price was cheaper than you could find on Ebay, not sure about now though and I didn't have to pay shipping. Check with your dealer.

I got a factory set of FX4 rims with low miles off ebay a couple of months ago. I asked specifically if they had any scratches or curb rash. I got them for $300 shipped and they were perfect.

I put the exact same wheels/tires on my FX4 2 yrs ago(mine came with the 17"rims). I ordered mine on E-bay from a guy in Texas. I paid about $600 with shipping and they were perfect and still had the stubs on them. He was very honest and I would do business again with him.Let me know if you want his seller info as I saved the pay pal receipt.
