What's the Best Air Intake Kit
Just so you know, I don't have a CAI right now and have no loyalties one way or the other. Just trying to find something that will work for me and the highest HP output is not my greatest concern. I will use the better gas mileage of the CAI more than anything else. So my perspective may be different.

We run a fairly tight boat here... you know that Stealth. I won't tolerate it...

My apologies if you are offended by my aparent unintended stupidity.
I have noticed a few things about CIA's in gereral.
Agree/Disagree?
Running a metal CAI pipe through your engine compartment, although it really looks cool, isn't the best method for getting cool air to your TB.
Having an air box that attempts to seal with the underside of your hood is not the best method to ensure that your not letting in heat and or debris.
Oiled Cotton air filters can cause problems with electrical components within your intake system only if over oiled.
....and you thought it was a holiday.

I just found a good deal for a Volant on eBay, but the current owner is selling it because of the additional noise. That's kind of why I am asking these questions. I don't want to get something that will give me a headache on a long drive, but I don't mind a little growl coming from under the hood when I step on it.

Get an Airforce one....A lot of R & D has gone into its design...Plus, IMO it looks the best under the hood...The sound is absolutely awesome...
If you get an intake you will want a tuner though, the combo is unbelieveable in these trucks...
Goodluck
