Saying Good Bye :)

Fellow F150online members I just wanted to say I'm out of the F150 club. I traded my '05 in last night for a Escape Limited. I couldn't be any happier right now. I had no idea how ruff lifted trucks road or how much power I lacked due to the 35 inch tires on my 3.55 gearing. I'll miss my truck but for commuting to grad school and general easyness on gas this is a good purchase. My suv is fully loaded with every option available. The audiophile system is amazing. Laterz

People buy and sell everyday.

This guy was here over a year, participated (700+) took the time to say goodbye and give a reason for informational purposes.
He wasn't trying to 'get his digs in'.

But you are right, all of these threads turn nasty.

If you and I drive the same thing and you stop driving what we drive and drive something else well, there's something wrong with one of us and I'm damn sure gonna let you know, it's you.

My least favorite Ford vehicle.

But good luck to ya.

Vader,
Thats your opinion which is cool and all, but I drove a truck with 8.5 inches of lift as a daily driver. If you've done so you know how it can be a pain in the rear driving through traffic and daily uses. I've enjoyed my ride but I want something more comfortable and more feasable. IMO Ford doesn't really have any nice CARS so I went with the Escape. I can't complain I get the A-plan.

2008 Escape

http://www.autospies.com/news/AUTO-S...d-Escape-8109/

Interior is looking better. a little better.

The SUV lineup is getting crowded at ford. They are going to have to kill one of them eventually.

Escape
Explorer
Expedition
Expedition XL
Everest

I bet the expedition/xl is toast after next year.

I had a Tribute, same thing as the Escape, and I loved it. It handled great had tons of power and was rock solid. I think you will enjoy the Escape.

There is someone here at work who just bought a Hybrid Escape, defineatly small, but looks good if you get it with all the bells and whistles.
Good luck and enjoy the added gas mileage.
I have toyed with the idea of trading mine in on a Mustang GT, but after driving trucks for years, I just can't get used to the idea of sitting so low to the ground.

My wife drives an Escape, and loves it.

I'm sure you will be happy with your new vehicle.

My wife wants an Escape. I like them--they are nice small SUVs. I personally wouldn't buy an Escape hybrid until Ford has a few more years of experience working with these big batteries.

I had a Toyota Prius dude. I wouldn't waste my money on the Hybrids. Escape only gets 36 mpg. Thats a rip off for what you pay for it. To Mx I won't be putting any spinners on my SUV. I'm keeping the factory wheels. After putting over 6k into my trust I won't be doing much modding anymore. My money priorities are elsewhere now.

I have to agree with you. I like my Ford trucks But there cars suck. I did however have an Escape for a loaner once and it wasn't a bad ride at all.
I will stay with my Pontiacs for cars and Ford for trucks. I have always had good luck with them. It's to bad Pontiac ended the Bonneville line. It was there best model.

Enjoy your new ride.
