Which is louder?

I've got duals comin straight out the back with 3.5" tips and no muffler. It's pretty loud but not that loud plus i've heard that straight pipes kill my low end power and mileage.

If i ran true duals with two flowmaster 40 series si/so do you think it would be any louder? give me any better mpgs?

You can't go wrong with flows... They should give you a better sound IMO...

No muffler is louder, but you can't beat the flowmaster tone...

sheesh, the more I recommend flows, the more I want the louder, aggressive sound... Maybe I am not getting so old after all!!!

if you want loud, cut off your cats. then, if you wanted to change the tone, add a flowmaster, magnaflow, etc muffler.

Muffler does just that, it muffles so adding a muffler will just make it quiter. But I have a FM 40 seires and its a good tone, but I deffintly want it louder. Im changing my entire exhaust setup to JBA headers with E-Cut outs then to Magnaflow cats then to a DI/DO 40 seires. So yea hopefully that will get me the sound I want, and if i want it louder i'll just open the cut outs

by e-cut outs you mean electric? that would be crazy i seen them do that to copperhead on trucks. i'd like to do that right behind the headers but its a little costly....

are there any o2 sensors pluged into our cats?

Yeah that was a good episode, And yes I do mean Eletric lol. Also Yes I beleive there is o2 sensors plugged into our cats, but they do make o2 sensor replicators that send a false singal or somthing like that so it makes the computer think that its the right amount of o2 so it dosent throw CELs and codes

Magnaflow...... A lot of folks use "maggies"on this board. I found several sound clips in the exhaust threads
