Totally ruined my day!. I was going to order a set. I really like the way they look. I'll bet the next year model will have "optional" signal and marker lights.
Be careful here... there are two types that are going to be available according to the 2007 brochures. One will be a manual TT mirror, which most likely will NOT have the turn signal along the bottom (or in-glass) like the Lariat mirrors currently have, and the other mirrors to be availabel will be power, which will have puddle lamps and turn signals on the back side. Neither descriptions indicate (nor do the photos in the 2007 brochure) turn signals on the back-side or outboard edge of the new TT mirrors. I think if you wait a bit, you will see the "Lariat" version of the TT mirror you want. Unfortunately, I too, want the outboard signal like the SuperDuty.

Hopefully if they do not offer with clearence and signal like the Superduty, it will be the same mirror as the Superduty and maybe we can all do some swaping and assembly from the superduty mirror to the f150 mirror. I remmber when the first newly rivised mirror for the SD came out you could just pop the back cover off and buy the cover with the signal, clearece light cover and just do some wiring (04 and up). hopefully it will be something like that.

Holy cow! You are right! You'd be better off duct-taping two shiny tablespoons to the A-pillar!

For refrence ford changed the wiring schematics between 04-06 and 07 mirrors. Gotta flip some pins.

So, is this from experience? Please tell me you changed out your mirrors and can show is pictures! I called today and my parts guy says the TT Mirrors are on the books:

Part # 7L3Z-17682-AE (Passenger)
Part # 7L3Z-17683-AE (Driver)

Unfortunately, they list at $305.07 a piece for trucks built 07/17/06 to 12/03/06, and $533.17 for trucks built after 12/04/06. That must be where the wiring change came in. I'll bet it is the adder for the puddle lamp wiring, which did not exist on the earlier models like mine. I have my parts guy checking it out now. If I can get them reasonably priced, I'll sell my OEM chrome edition mirrors right away. Right now, with the uncertainty they have on these now, I am leary of spending that much cash on these mirrors. I may have to wait and order them on my next truck in fall.

There ain't no chance in hell. If I was buying these mirrors for my truck...at over a 1,000 dollars for both of them....they better come with a little somethin' extra.

Ha. The top-of-the-line mirrors are retailed at about $1300 for both.

If I was buying those mirrors for my truck, I'd trade it off for a new one! I was really wanting to add these to my '05, but $1k + for mirrors is a little much.

It does exist on the KR...

And, the additional price is for more than puddle lamps... I'm not going to ruin a suprise though.
