4 Wheel drive low range

I just bought an 04 Fx4, and I have been testing out all the features on the truck, and 4x4 High range there is no problem, I see the light come on, and no sounds or anything. My Concern is that when I put it into low range, I don't see a light for 4x4L come on, the light for 4x4H range stays on. can anyone confirm that has the same year truck, if there is a light for 4x4L that comes on when its engaged?

And yes I am putting it into L in neautral, and at a stop. I even backed up abit to see if that was needed. still doesn't seem to come on. Either I'm doing something wrong, there is no light, or I need to get it to the dealer to be fixed. If anyone could shed some light that would be great

My light always comes on in my FX4 when going into 4low...I do always have it in neutral, with the brake applied too...If you dont see the light or hear it go into 4 lo from 4 hi then i would take it in to have it looked at, something isnt right...Goodluck

That may be it, I don't think I was holding the break. I'll test it out later this Eve.

Thanks Guys

ya, I put the truck in neutral then switch to 4 Low. I use my 4 low about once a month just to keep it working. It's not something you use all the time.
