Steering Wheel control removal?

Can anyone tell me exactly how to remove the steering wheel control buttons? I searched and did not find the exact procedure. Thanks

I have an XLT with the grey plastic wheel and bought a black leather wheel and air bag. I have the wheel off but can't really see how the buttons come out and I don't want to break anything. Thanks
