Rail mount options

Anybody have a source for rail mount accessories? I can only find DVD players.

Are there anymore? Is there a garage door opener option?

Thanks!

when i emailed brandmotion last month i was told that all of their proposed railport items would be on sale by the end of the year, and that some of the items were currently available. when i contacted their distributor for order info they had no idea what i was talking about.

i wouldn't hold my breath.

i was really interested in the overhead bluetooth unit, but for $400 i would rather save up for a valor dvd unit with the built in bluetooth.

so much for railport.

Yea I've emailed them before and basically gotten the same information.

At this point it is all vapor ware and I'm not holding my breath either.

I'd love a concealled ipod holder/charger, tie into my DVD but alas....it isn't meant to be.

I'd like to get that too, but I don't think the price is worth it. The iPod will just have to sit in the center consol.

My solution is pretty decent given my options.

I bought an RCA cable for the ipod.

I put the ipod in my center rail bin and route the RCA cable to the AUX inputs on the railed DVD player. I close it up and the only thing you see is a 5" cord coming from the closed bin to the DVD player.

The only reason I have to bring it down is to charge the IPOD or when I'm skipping through the playlist.

What exactly is that? Looks like a CB radio and a spotlight. Not making fun, just trying to figure out what you did.

conway, to actually answer your post, there are currently limited options for overhead rail bins, etc. Because they're trademarked, you'll find only a few select sellers (along with the overpriced dealerships). Read the following thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...light=overhead .

And now here are some links of interest:

www.eBay.com ... using +ford +(f150,f-150) +(rail, bin, bins, overhead). Take out the +(f150,f-150) portion to get even more results just in case the seller was too stupid to put in the truck model.

I've been following the site with some hope for a while.

I realize it may be red tape between Ford and vendors but the bottom line is we are entering the 4th year of production on the f150 and we haven't seen a thing yet.

Very disappointing.

What is that metal box in the back? Looks like a toaster I like the CB setup though.
