LED Tails???
Nice post onBelay... very resourceful and helpful. We all appreciate your help.
I'm waiting as well 04comp... Stock look, LED performance. I suppose that some think that LEDs on Cadillacs, BMWs, Mercedes, and even select FORD products look 'ricey'.

Oh well, what ever happened to that guy who found someone who made a set. Wasn't the company matrix or something like that?

So now we are so ignorant to call LED taillights "rice"? I think some idiot is getting altezzas confused with an LED that will emit light much farther and much longer period of time then an incandescent bulb. This is one mod that I would really be interested in provided they look stockish and are a quality piece.

I've got LED tails on my Accord. It's a nice touch, especially since the car wasnt a fortune to get.

I haven't looked for my truck but I know I've seen LED replacement automotive bulbs in the past. Wife has the truck right now so if anyone cares to post the bulb types we might be able to track some down.
I tried the LED bulb thing. Worse than stock as far as emitted light. THEN I got the APC's.
They have this nasty 'tumor' on them at the bottom and beyond that, the way they're built, the led's 'angle outward' and if you're slightly off center to the truck, you can't see them both lit. You have to face them dead-on, each one, to see them lit. I've had too many people say 'hey dude, you've got a tail light out' to even consider keeping them.
I looked into having a company build some a few years back for superdutys, went through the layout, patent and proposal but ultimately couldn't find a company to build them. We made one 'prototype set' out of factory lenses and a cadillac light base. They were kinda cool, but my design required certain parts to be lit with running lights and certain parts to come on with the stop/turn lights and that couldn't be done with the caddy tails. If anyone knows of a company that will accept a design and actually build the lights, let me know.

I found a set for the old body style F150. They got it right...these are what I want for our trucks! They look stock, not ricey, and have the good led pattern with a reflector for each of the led bulbs (like the infinity's)...heres a picture...
