where to find new fog light lens

Hey guys, I had a fog light bulb burst and now the plastic lens is permenantly fogged up. Where is the best place to get a replacement lens and does anyone know how difficult they are to get in? Thanks.

Still under warranty?

Ford should replace it for you, for free.

Negative, with 49,000 on the odometer, I think this is going to come out of pocket.

This is sorta along the same line. I had a bulb and lense go bad on my 02 FX4 Ranger last winter. I had to buy the whole unit from ford. $65 shipped.

But the other day when I was under my new 06 f-150 Scab 4X4 Lariat doing an oil change I noticed the fog light from the back. Exact same fogs as what was on the 02 FX4 Ranger. I mean exact. Hell, my new truck has some of the same parts as my old ranger! Hahahahahahaha!

I've replaced one... had a rock come up off the road and take out the assembly -- thank god it was a direct hit on the lense...

Simple replacement... a couple of screws and it's out. Unfortunately, you can't just buy 'pieces' of the assembly. In fact, I believe it's all one sealed unit. Seems like it was $60ish. www.fastpartsnetwork.com

OMG that little ***** would get a serious butt whoopen!

I may need to get a new assembly as well. Not a fog up issue but there is some orange looking gunk behind the lens. Anyone know what that could be? I think I may remove the lens and rinse them out with some deionized water later.

Far as fogging up couldn't you just rinse them out and put some vasoline on that little bulb gasket and seal around the assembly with some fish tank type silicon sealant? That would save $60 if it worked.

I think its permanently fogged because of the silverstar bulb that exploded in there.

If it's on the inside and you can get to it, wetsand those bastards. Microcloths are supposed to be a good way to do this, headlights look brand new. It was just talked about in the detail forum.
