RP,

Do you know if the front drivers door handle is offered without the keyless entry????

I don't have that option on my truck,

No clue honestly... but...

My hunch is that it will accomodate the keyless... you see, Ford is making this part specifically for the HD I believe... not positive but, I believe that's correct.

If keyless is standard on the HD -- can anyone confirm this? -- then it's there... or at least that's my hunch.

Can't you get the Lincoln Mark LT handles that are already painted?

For those of us who *DO NOT* want the chrome handle, it's still a major PITA to either disassemble the handle assemblies and get them painted or figure out some other way...

In my opinion, the chrome handles just don't look right on a two-tone truck (especially with AZ Beige).

By going this way, we get them painted and they match like we want them to... that's the difference.

Here's my question. If the handles are all ready to spray, would it be a good thing, or a waste of time thing, to take the handle proper off so the bucket and handle can be sprayed better separately?

I'm definitely doing this, and I have my eye on the mirror caps to do after. Is the cap that appears on the new KRs an attached piece, or something one would get only when ordering an entire mirror assembly?

Good question TRQ... I'm sure that a good paint guy can handle it without problem but, a good painter is going to come at a higher cost too... damned if you do, damned if you don't.

As for the mirror... it's not a 'cap'. Not sure how else to describe it though... I'd assume it's the assembly or nothing.

The cost won't be that bad; I've only got 3 handles to do, instead of 5. My problem is going to be finding a good shop around here, as I've never had any work done thus far.

News flash... I believe the 07' KR will also have painted handles.

If this truck is going to stay in my garage for another few years... this is a mod that I *will* be doing... Just not certain on it's future.
