Back rocking the boat..

Would you buy a a F-150 If Ford offerd no warenty coverage and lowerd the price 10 to 15 grand with no dealer mark up?

I swore I would never ever again drive a Ford F-150, Well my employer has bought a few 06 F-150 SC XL with the 4.6 2wd to replace thier chevy fleet and I was offerd a Ford for a company truck. ( Promotion ) I think I will keep my gas allowance and run my dodge.

I wounder how much Ford GM and Daimler inflate thier MSRP to ofset warenty cost's and how they caculate warenty cost's, Some where a group of accountants and brainy dudes must know the cost of a part verus that same part in a heavy duty application vers how long it will take to brake.

What mountaneer meant to say is:

"Dude! heres ur chance man! Quit ur bit**in and let happy Ford truck owners be happy Ford trucks owners."

<soapbox>

Why can't you people realize that all manufacturers make lemons. It happens when you build 100's of 1000's of trucks every year. Some are just unlucky enough to get the bad one in the bunch. I'd buy a Ford without a warranty in a heart beat. I've paid a total of < $1000 in repairs/maintenance (not counting oil changes and tires) on my '99 with 133k on it. I expect my '05 to be the same.

I don't know about everyone else, but I come here to read about Ford trucks and Ford fans enjoying their trucks. If there is a problem, sure post and get help. If you just wanna complain, go elsewhere. You drive a Dodge now...go enjoy it and find some place else to go on about how bad your Ford was. Most of us don't want to here it any more.

</soapbox>

EDIT: Sorry, meant to say that I was sorry for even justifying the original post with a reply, but I just couldn't lay off.

I bought my F150 out of warranty and I've been really happy with this "used" purchase. Would be nice to replace my tcase and steering rack under warranty though.

Someone give this guy a dictionary. Makes me wonder what promotion he received. I usually dont like to start ***** but what does dodge boy expect. He probably got hit on the head playing "dodge" ball.

Awsome = Awesome

wounder = wonder

brake = break

offerd = offered

warenty = warranty

lowerd = lowered

caculate = calculate

I like the picture that someone posted of the dodge ram symbol next to a digram of a womens vagina they were identical i wish i remembered who posted it.My brother purshased a 03 ram 1500 the same time i got a 03 ford f250 he had to pay for new rotors at 20000 miles my dealer replaced mine at 40000 as a warranty and his truck has been in for several recalls mine had none.granted i'm not comparing apples to apples exactly but who wants to buy from a german company that concentrates on its german cars and screws the ammerican half of its company.

The title of the thread says it all. He just likes to come on here and stir up chit. If everyone ignores him, maybe he'll go away.

All this cyclone V said abought the Ford was he would rathier run a dodge than take a Ford. Chances are good that CV has a better truck than the F-150 that earns such high praise.

I own a 04 F-150 and it is getting close to being the perfect nightmare, Ford has really went backwards with quality and I now understand why Ford improved the warenty on the 06+ F-150.

I'm not trashing Ford at all, I just will not buy a F-150 to replace my 04 F-150 no matter how improved the warenty is, I feel ripped off in a way that Ford could not offer thier improved warenty coverage in 04.
