Cruise control button modification... black to silver.

Just thinking of some new stuff to do to my truck.... my truck has fx4/lariat ac vents with the silver satin finish and I think changing my cruise control buttons from black to silver would really add a good look to my interior.

I want the cruise control to look like this: (picture of ThumperMX113's steering wheel)

Any help would be appreciated.

Great news, any idea how I would go about getting some. Do they just pop right off?

Your best bet a would be to buy a black leather steering wheel from a seller on ebay, which already has the buttons in it, it will probably come out to the same price as buying the buttons plus you will have a leather wheel...

EDIT: I beleive they go for $49.00

Well first of all, if you have a Lariat the buttons are NOT the same as the other buttons you have shown.

You WILL loose several of you features that the Lariat steering wheel controls allow.

Second, the buttons are NOT easy to remove. You will have to pull the steering wheel (which there is a How To, that Q wrote and is in a thread started by me). Then you'll have to take the steering wheel apart to take off the buttons.

Personally I think the lariat controls match the other silver finish in the truck (dash panels).

The buttons come in at least three different colors. Black, Silver, metal flake gray. There may be tan buttons but I have not seen those. I've had those three colors in my truck. The Leather wheel without the radio/climate buttons tends to be in metal flake gray, not silver.
Find a silver set on eBay if you want to match the satin dash vents.

Changing the buttons is easy after you pull the wheel.
If you have a 10 dollar steering wheel puller pulling the wheel is a snap.
Unless you pump iron or are very lucky, ignore the posts saying you can just pull the wheel off with your hands, especially if you expect to reuse the wheel.

Looks to be a bigger mod than I expected... I think I'll hold off on this for awhile. Thanks for the replies everyone.
